Job Title: Financial Business Partner

Join Kenton Black Ltd as a Financial Business Partner and take on a challenging role that requires strong financial skills and business acumen. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our commercial teams and ensuring the accurate accounting of new machine projects and maintenance contracts.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Financial Accounting: Ensure accurate accounting for new machine projects and maintenance contracts, including preparation of P&L statements and balance sheets.
  • Commercial Support: Work closely with colleagues to ensure projects are commercially successful and delivered within budget.
  • Project Provisions: Calculate accurate project provisions monthly and ensure compliance with IFRS15 accounting guidelines.
  • Project Tracking: Maintain accurate project trackers and provide weekly contract summaries to the Head of Service Operations.
  • Financial Management: Support the Head of Service Operations and Project Managers financially as needed, including financial management of Life Cycle Services work.
  • Sales Order Management: Create sales orders and maintenance contract sales orders, with financial oversight of new machine project invoices and purchase orders.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly reporting packs for each project, highlighting financial threats or opportunities, and provide insights from financial and operational data to inform business decisions.
  • Process Improvement: Implement process and reporting improvements to drive efficiency and automate manual reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Line manage the Commercial Finance Assistant and provide guidance and support as needed.
