Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced teaching assistant to join our dynamic primary school in Harrow. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students and teachers in achieving academic excellence.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting class teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons
  • Leading small group sessions and whole-class activities as needed
  • Providing targeted support to students, including those with additional learning needs
  • Assisting in the assessment of students' progress and providing feedback
  • Contributing to the development of individualized learning plans
  • Mentoring and guiding other teaching assistants and support staff
  • Participating in the planning and execution of school events and activities
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
  • A positive, energetic, and flexible approach to work
