Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced teaching assistant to join our dynamic primary school team in Harrow. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our class teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons, leading small group sessions, and providing targeted support to students.

About the Role:
  • Support class teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all students.
  • Lead small group sessions and whole-class activities, promoting student engagement and motivation.
  • Provide targeted support to students, including those with additional learning needs, to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Assist in the assessment of students' progress and provide constructive feedback to inform teaching practices.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized learning plans, ensuring that each student receives tailored support.
  • Mentor and guide other teaching assistants and support staff, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of school events and activities, showcasing the school's commitment to community engagement.
Requirements:
  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification is essential.
  • Proven experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
