In this pivotal role, you will manage the execution, data gathering, analysis, and communication of insights for a national survey that is essential for shaping public health strategies.
Your expertise in mixed methodology research and behavioral science will be invaluable as you conduct statistical analyses and develop metrics to assess the effectiveness of health protection measures. Location:
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) embraces a hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility in how and where you work, while ensuring business needs are met. As a hybrid worker, you will be expected to fulfill a minimum of 60% of your working hours at the UKHSA site.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and utilization of information systems across various disciplines, overseeing the collection and interpretation of data to derive the most suitable analyses.
- Conduct specialized and intricate analyses of quantitative and qualitative datasets, selecting optimal solutions from multiple options.
- Evaluate and interpret diverse data sources to provide recommendations that inform long-term decision-making.

Essential Criteria
- Degree in a relevant scientific discipline or substantial experience in the HIV/sexual health sector.
- PhD or equivalent experience in public health, epidemiology, health promotion, or related fields.
- Training in research methodologies, infectious disease epidemiology, and public health.
- Experience in leading and implementing scientific initiatives, including behavioral surveys.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects at a senior level.
- Proficiency in database software (e.g., Stata, Microsoft ACCESS, Excel).
- Advanced knowledge of epidemiological and statistical research methods.
- Project management experience, including planning and oversight of multidisciplinary teams.
- Understanding of current healthcare policy and its implications for public engagement.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in securing external research funding through grant applications.
