About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Support Worker. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to patients who require an enhanced level of support during their inpatient stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with patients to develop a rapport and provide individualized support, including 1:1 care.
  • Communicate effectively with the clinical team, medical staff, and other professionals involved in patient care.
  • Assist patients with daily activities, such as eating, drinking, and personal hygiene.
  • Encourage and assist patients in diversional activities and manage challenging behaviors.
  • Support and manage a patient caseload, delivering meaningful activities to promote wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Good standard of general education and adequate literacy skills.
  • Experience of working with people in a caring situation or dealing with the general public.
  • Desirable: NVQ level 2/3 in Prepare to Care, experience of facilitating groups, or working in mental health services.
