Position Overview:

We are seeking a Manager of Commercial to join our dedicated Storm Overflow Alliance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring we deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Work Environment:

This position is based in Buttershaw, Bradford, with a hybrid working model allowing for one day in the office per week.

Role Responsibilities:

The Manager of Commercial will lead commercial initiatives within the Storm Overflow Programme, focusing on:

  • Providing strategic commercial leadership
  • Developing and managing a high-performing commercial team
  • Collaborating with the Storm Overflow Alliance and Supply Chain Partners to establish a cohesive commercial strategy
  • Influencing key stakeholders, including the Yorkshire Water Board and Executive Team

Key Functions:

The role involves:

  • Overseeing the Storm Overflow Alliance and related procurement strategies
  • Implementing a collaborative commercial culture
  • Engaging with the Integrated Programme Team and Alliance Leadership Team
  • Ensuring effective contract management and procurement strategies

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Significant experience in commercial management within collaborative environments
  • Expertise in the water, utilities, or infrastructure sectors
  • Familiarity with NEC contracts and contract management practices

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:

  • Professional certification such as Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS or MCICES)
  • Experience in supplier relationship management
  • Leadership experience in large-scale change initiatives
