We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Head of Commercial Operations at Morrisons. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strong understanding of IT operations, data centre management, and enterprise IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Strategy: Plan, direct, and coordinate the operations of the Infrastructure and Networks team, ensuring the efficient operation of our Data Centres, Networks, Platforms, and backend technologies.
- Incident and Service Management: Provide a single point of contact for incident resolution and service requests, ensuring continual monitoring of live systems and efficient ticket processing.
- Collaboration and Support: Work with IT Service and other technical teams to deliver end-to-end support and resolution for all Infrastructure Operations-related incidents.
- Security and Efficiency: Lead initiatives to ensure the security and effectiveness of networks, platforms, storage, virtual environments, and Infrastructure-as-a-Service platforms.
- Process Improvement: Regularly review and improve IT processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Proactive Management: Develop and implement proactive tasks to prevent future issues, including software patching, performance tuning, and server housekeeping.
- Financial Management: Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analysis for proposed projects and high-expenditure items.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations and lead IT operational planning.
- Vendor Management: Build long-term partnerships with key vendors and manage the deployment, monitoring, and support of all core IS systems.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop the IT operations team, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
- Collaboration: Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders to ensure IT services meet their needs.
- Technical Expertise: Expert knowledge of IT operations, data centre operations, enterprise IT environments, cloud computing, and data/voice networks.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of IT contracts, negotiation, and budget management.
- Management Skills: Strong people management, mentoring, and coaching abilities with a collaborative management style.
