About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our Management Accounts team at Liberty Global. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in leading and managing our financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to our business leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks related to our financial performance and balance sheet accounts.
  • Team Development: Manage, mentor, and develop your team to ensure they have the skills and expertise needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Process Expertise: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our financial processes and systems, and work closely with our business stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present divisional reporting packs for internal stakeholders, meeting required deadlines and providing ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Variance Analysis: Provide variance analysis with meaningful commercial commentary to help our business leaders make informed decisions.
  • Compliance and Assurance: Ensure that our financial reporting and accounting practices are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Professional Qualifications: Professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading and managing finance teams, with experience in team leadership and development.
  • Financial Systems: Strong knowledge of financial systems and processes, including experience with Oracle and Hyperion/HFM.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally to build relationships with colleagues in our various operating companies.
