We are seeking an experienced dietitian to join our Child Healthy Weight team as a Band 7 Community Dietitian and Dietetic Lead. The successful candidate will have a clinical remit and caseload working with children referred to the Tier 3 Child Healthy Weight pathway.
Key Responsibilities- Provide dietetic services to children and families across Grampian, working in collaboration with psychology and other healthcare professionals.
- Support the development of the Child Healthy Weight service, ensuring it meets minimum standards and delivers high-quality care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the design of the service.
- Work with dietetic colleagues across Grampian on shared issues and initiatives, such as clinical effectiveness and patient safety.
- Provide education and training to undergraduate students on their B and C placements.
- Be flexible in providing services, including working weekends and extended hours when necessary.
- Contribute to the development of a positive culture within NHS Scotland, aligned with our values.
- Be a qualified dietitian with experience in working with children and families.
- Have a strong clinical background and ability to work autonomously.
- Be able to communicate effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Have a full driving license and be able to travel within Grampian.
