Job Title: Field Care Supervisor
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £23,100pa

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Full-Time with on-call responsibility and flexibility required to support the needs of the business

On-call Responsibilities:
Contracted for 1 night per week as part of the employment agreement, with additional compensation of £15 per night thereafter. (Weekends = £100 per weekend)

Your Role:
We seek a proactive and self-sufficient care professional with substantial experience and a positive, flexible attitude to join our Peterborough Branch as a Field Care Supervisor.

Reporting Structure:
You will report directly to the Branch Manager, working alongside the Field Care Manager to implement systems that ensure the delivery of domiciliary care services that meet and exceed legislative standards, while adhering to our company’s equal opportunities and health & safety policies.

Main Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting risk and manual handling assessments for new clients/service users prior to service provision, ensuring assessments are updated annually or after significant changes.
  • Maintaining a quality assurance management system in collaboration with the Care Planner and Branch Manager, ensuring service users and their carers are consulted about the care service.
  • Meeting with domiciliary care workers for direct supervision at least quarterly, documenting the content and outcomes of each meeting.
  • Conducting annual appraisals for domiciliary care workers, identifying training and development needs.
  • Facilitating quarterly team meetings for care workers, preparing agendas and maintaining minutes.
  • Assisting in the delivery of a development and training program for care assistants.
  • Participating in recruitment efforts to build capacity within the service.
  • Providing on-call support and coordinating coverage for unplanned absences.
  • Responding appropriately in emergency situations, ensuring client sensitivity and confidentiality.
  • Meeting weekly compliance targets agreed with the Care Planner and Branch Manager.
  • Supporting ongoing service provision reviews and adapting working methods as necessary.

General Responsibilities:

  • Occasionally assisting with day-to-day team responsibilities.
  • Championing internal customer service.
  • Fulfilling any other reasonable management requests.
  • Participating in the on-call/out-of-hours rota as required.
