Position Overview


A vital member of a dedicated team of engineers responsible for ensuring a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs in a continuous operation environment.


Collaborating with the Operations team to meet production objectives by minimizing engineering downtime, enhancing asset availability, performance, and efficiency through ongoing improvement initiatives.


Delivering prompt, effective, and efficient responses to equipment failures and ensuring that scheduled maintenance is executed thoroughly and punctually in accordance with site requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a safety-conscious culture to mitigate accidents and near misses
  • Execute tasks to ensure compliance with necessary quality standards
  • Provide round-the-clock support to the production sector
  • Respond to machinery failures and document all actions taken in the maintenance management system
  • Offer initial maintenance assistance to manufacturing units
  • Monitor production lines to enhance operational efficiency
  • Perform scheduled maintenance activities and accurately log completed work in the maintenance management system
  • Provide insights for the enhancement of the maintenance planning system
  • Document maintenance tasks and breakdown incidents in the maintenance management system
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with the Engineering Stores
  • Collaborate with external contractors and issue necessary permits (if qualified)
  • Assist in the installation and decommissioning of machinery
  • Engage in both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities as required
  • Diagnose equipment failures and respond appropriately
  • Communicate and escalate issues when additional support is needed
  • Conduct routine safety and maintenance inspections of equipment
  • Ensure that machinery operates efficiently to produce high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall factory operations.
  • Provide training to others as needed for development and compliance purposes
  • Identify personal training requirements and work with management to establish a timeline for completion.
  • Contribute to and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance quality, safety, efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives as necessary
  • Maintain daily communication with Team Leaders and Managers to ensure alignment on maintenance and production priorities.
  • Mentor and train colleagues as needed
  • Step in for the Team Leader when required
Working Hours

* 4 on 4 off

* 6:00am/6:00pm & 6:00pm/6:00am

* 42 Hours Per Week

Compensation

* £21.68 per hour / £910.56 weekly / £47,349 annually
