Job Title: Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at The Calico Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver the Group's external financial reporting, including the preparation of the Group consolidated financial statements.
  • Ensure that financial controls are embedded across the team and that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in control account reconciliations.
  • Produce quarterly financial returns to the RSH for review.
  • Act as the key contact for the Group's external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process.
  • Calculate and pay relevant taxes, including VAT, Corporation Tax, CIS, and PAYE.
  • Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Develop month-end reporting information.

Requirements:

  • Experience of producing regulatory reporting and statutory accounts.
  • An understanding of credit control, VAT, and other taxes.
  • An ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Working towards a Professional Accountancy Qualification (or Qualified by Experience).
