We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at The Calico Group. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for delivering the preparation and delivery of the Group\u2019s external financial reporting, including the preparation of the Group consolidated financial statements.

This is a challenging role that requires a strong understanding of financial controls, regulatory reporting, and statutory accounts. You will be responsible for ensuring that financial controls are embedded across the team, and that control account reconciliations are completed and any discrepancies investigated and resolved.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • \t
  • Preparation and delivery of the Group\u2019s external financial reporting \t
  • Ensuring that financial controls are embedded across the team \t
  • Control account reconciliations completed and any discrepancies investigated and resolved \t
  • Production of the quarterly financial returns to the RSH for review \t
  • Key contact for the Group\u2019s external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process \t
  • Calculation and payment of relevant taxes (VAT, Corporation Tax, CIS, PAYE etc) \t
  • Reviewing and preparing balance sheet reconciliations \t
  • Develop month end reporting information

THE PERSON

  • \t
  • Experience of producing regulatory reporting and statutory accounts \t
  • An understanding of credit control, VAT, and other taxes \t
  • An ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, at all levels \t
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with Strong attention to detail \t
  • You should be ideally working towards a Professional Accountancy Qualification (or Qualified by Experience)
