About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Server Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Permanent Futures. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our national infrastructure, providing technical support and ensuring that objectives are met in line with national priorities.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) for technical incidents and service requests are not breached.
  2. Providing resilience and failover testing to ensure that all managed infrastructure is tested and documented on a regular basis.
  3. Providing documentation to ensure that all managed infrastructure is documented and regular audits are completed.
  4. Proactively monitoring server infrastructure tools.
  5. Ensuring that change and release management processes and procedures are adhered to.
  6. Ensuring that security accreditation and procedures are not compromised.

Your Skills and Experience Include:

  1. Experience working as a senior engineer in a technically diverse environment.
  2. Experience working within an ITIL service environment, working to defined metrics and SLAs.
  3. Strong experience with Wintel and VMware technologies.
  4. Experience in change management within an ITIL service environment.
  5. Good experience in failover testing, resilience, and redundancy methodology.
  6. Good experience with server and infrastructure monitoring and automation tools.
