About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Chef to join our team at ESS, a leading provider of food and support services to the Defence, Government, and Energy sectors. As a Chef with ESS, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our clients and customers, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve delicious, high-quality food that meets the expectations of our clients and customers.
- Menu Development: Work with our culinary team to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and that food waste is minimized.
- Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen, including adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
- Culinary Experience: Proven experience as a chef in a similar role, with a strong background in food preparation and service.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team of chefs and kitchen staff.
- Food Safety and Hygiene: Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, including HACCP and food handling procedures.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
