Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join our team at ESP Utilities Group Ltd. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our Financial Control team and overseeing the production of consolidated management accounts and reporting for all Group companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of 5 reports, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of financial objectives.
  • Financial Reporting: Lead the production of consolidated management accounts and reporting for all Group companies, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
  • System Management: Manage and develop the Business Central accounting system, ensuring the Financial Control team is maximizing its functionality.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical accounting expertise and ensure the Group financial control environment is robust and compliant.
  • Statutory Accounts: Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and management of the annual audit cycle.
  • External Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate external reporting to Ofgem, Ofwat, credit rating agencies, and ONS.
  • Support and Collaboration: Provide support to the Group Financial Controller as required.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant, practice trained.
  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of PQE experience.
  • Skills: Technically strong in IT, Excel, and financial accounting; self-starter with problem-solving skills and ability to apply initiative; able to manage multiple work streams concurrently; confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
