Are you a skilled Ventilation Engineer with a passion for overseeing engineering functions across diverse facilities within the Conventional and Nuclear Projects' spectrum? Compensation: £37,860 - £48,000 (based on qualifications and experience) + £3,743 Allowance

This position offers you the chance to:

  • Provide support for both existing facilities and new initiatives related to all aspects of ventilation and filtration.
  • Conduct facility assessments and walkthroughs to familiarize yourself with ventilation systems and configurations, offering guidance when challenges arise or modifications are suggested.
  • Organize and perform thorough 'end to end' evaluations and inspections of ventilation systems in nuclear, hazardous, and conventional environments.
  • Assist in the updating and management of ventilation documentation and associated databases.
  • Develop and create ventilation design proposals, supporting the review process from initial concept to detailed design.
  • Contribute to a program of enhancements to ensure compliance with relevant good practices (RGP) in all areas concerning ventilation and filtration.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable legislation, standards, procedures, and processes to demonstrate compliance related to ventilation and LEV workplace control.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have experience in some or all of the following:

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively prioritize work.
  • Strong technical skills, including troubleshooting and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with a particular strength in report and documentation preparation.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate interactions at various levels with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A solid understanding of Health and Safety regulations, including Ionising Radiation Regulations, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), Asbestos, Control of Lead at Work (CLAW), and Workplace Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations.
  • Practical knowledge and experience in the thorough examination and testing of LEV ventilation systems and LEV commissioning is advantageous but not mandatory, as comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • Ideally, candidates should possess an ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline or a comparable vocational qualification.
