Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Services Delivery
    • Responsible for delivering and maintaining technical services for infrastructure servers, storage, and cloud.
    • Provide 3rd line operational support in collaboration with Service Desk and IT teams.
  • Infrastructure Planning and Implementation
    • Lead the assessment, planning, and implementation of IT infrastructure changes and service improvements.
    • Ensure alignment with business requirements and service acceptance criteria.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Act as the subject matter expert on server, storage, and cloud infrastructure.
    • Handle complex technical issues and manage all core operating systems, including patching, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Incident and Request Management
    • Efficiently resolve IT infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
    • Provide timely updates to users and liaise with IT suppliers for issue resolution.
  • Systems Monitoring and Support
    • Oversee systems monitoring tools.
    • Ensure thresholds and alerts are set for proactive issue resolution.
    • Maintain IT infrastructure support documentation.
  • Project Collaboration
    • Work with project teams to review and impact assess new business requirements.
    • Contribute to technical aspects of change documentation, such as impact assessments, implementation plans, and rollout plans.
  • Capacity, Availability, Security, and Service Support
    • Ensure that capacity, availability, security, and service support requirements are considered in all IT infrastructure changes.
    • Implement, test, and monitor changes in line with agreed plans.
  • Disaster Recovery and Asset Management
    • Lead technical disaster recovery activities.
    • Ensure Asset and Configuration Management principles are applied consistently to all infrastructure changes.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong experience of creating and managing virtual and physical servers for UNIX and Windows variant O/S.
    • Experience with Microsoft Azure (desirable).
    • Experience with Microsoft 365 (essential).
    • Experience with Microsoft Entra (essential).
    • Experience with Microsoft Exchange Server (desirable).
    • Experience with Active Directory Policy (Group Policy) Administration (essential).
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
