About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team at Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow Mind. As a Crisis Intervention Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Person-Centred Support: Work collaboratively with clients to understand their needs and develop flexible and realistic crisis support packages.
  • Listen and Empathize: Listen to clients and encourage positive steps towards self-management of crisis and recovery.
  • Offer Practical and Emotional Support: Provide advice, information, and practical and emotional support to clients.
  • Recognize and Respond to Deteriorating Mental Health: Proactively recognize the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action.
Requirements
  • Experience in Clinical Mental Health Services: Minimum of 2 years working in clinical mental health services or settings.
  • Supporting Clients in Crisis: Minimum of 2 years supporting clients experiencing severe mental health distress and crisis.
  • Managing Challenging Behaviour: Extensive experience of managing challenging behaviour and dealing with clients with complex needs.
  • Integrated and Collaborative Working: Experience of integrated and collaborative working.
  • Health Coaching Skills: Experience and knowledge of health coaching skills.
  • Safeguarding: Experience of managing safeguarding risks and understanding legal requirements for safeguarding adults and children.
