Finance Analyst Opportunity at London Gatwick Airport

We are seeking a skilled Finance Analyst to join our team at London Gatwick Airport. As a Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the management of income and cost budgets, providing timely financial insight and analysis, and working collaboratively with the Finance Business Partners and directly with other areas of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and post month-end journals, ensuring they are fully supported with explanations and all corresponding balance sheet accounts are fully understood.
  2. Provide analysis and insight as required to the Finance Business Partners and budget holders, with a view to driving efficiencies, such as staff costs, headcount, overhead spend, revenue trends, and weekly sales reports.
  3. Take responsibility for certain cost and income budgets, leading the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reviews.
  4. May take on ad-hoc projects or activities, such as ancillary charges process, support on business cases.
Requirements:
  1. Part Qualified ACCA or CIMA - (study support available)
  2. Ability to demonstrate a full suite of analytical skills, ranging from strong data manipulation through to communicating conclusions succinctly.
  3. The ability to influence, challenge, and support both financial and non-financial managers is essential, as is the ability to deliver credible analysis and insight into the results.
  4. Knowledge of using data mining tools such as Business Objects, Tableau desirable.
  5. Previous experience within a finance function essential.
  6. Competent to a high standard using Excel and PowerPoint.
  7. Previous experience of SAP desirable.
