Commercial Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to join our team at Laing O'Rourke. As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for leading the commercial team in the delivery of projects, ensuring that all commercial aspects are managed effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the commercial team to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs.
- Ensure that all contractual agreements are properly executed and maintained.
- Manage and administer subcontractor accounts, including payment and certification.
- Prepare and manage claims, including negotiation with clients and subcontractors.
- Provide commercial support to the project team, including preparation of contract documents and commercial input into project execution plans.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring that the company's interests are protected.
- Prepare and present commercial reports to stakeholders, including project managers, directors, and clients.
- Proven experience in commercial management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, including NEC and other industry-standard contracts.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in a relevant discipline (Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management).
