Sense is seeking an experienced Early Intervention and Play Leader to join our team in Birmingham. As an Early Intervention and Play Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting children with complex disabilities and their families to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality early intervention and play programs for children with complex disabilities and their families.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and create personalized plans to support children's development and progress.
  • Provide guidance and support to families on strategies and techniques to promote communication, interaction, and play.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for children and families.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contact and engagement, providing regular reports on outcomes and progress.

Requirements

  • Recognized qualification in playwork, childcare, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working with children and young people with disabilities in an education, health, or social care setting.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
