About the Role

Sense is seeking an experienced and passionate Early Intervention and Play Leader to join our team in Birmingham. As an Early Intervention and Play Leader, you will play a vital role in supporting children with complex disabilities and their families to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver individualized play sessions and activities for children with complex disabilities, tailored to their unique needs and goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to families, empowering them to build strong relationships with their children and promote healthy development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for children and families, including communication, interaction, and play.
  • Design and implement engaging online activities and resources as part of our digital offer, promoting accessibility and inclusivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress, outcomes, and engagement, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Recognized qualification in playwork, childcare, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working with children and young people with disabilities in education, health, or social care settings.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
