About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Risk and Controls Lead to join our Corporate & Investment Bank team at JP Morgan Chase Bank, National Association. As a key member of our Technology Governance Risk and Execution Team, you will play a pivotal role in mitigating technology risks and upholding operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technology Risk Management: Ensure effective identification, quantification, communication, and management of technology risk, focusing on root cause analysis and resolution recommendations.
  • Audit and Compliance: Perform impact analysis of Firm-wide Audits to the Line of Business and manage any interim and compensating controls.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain robust relationships with LOB technologists, assessments teams, and data officers to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and progress toward shared goals.
  • Reporting and Governance: Execute reporting and governance of controls, policies, issue management, and measurements, offering senior management insights into control effectiveness and inform governance work.
  • Control Effectiveness: Proactively monitor and evaluate control effectiveness, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements to strengthen risk posture and regulatory compliance.
  • Risk Identification: Identify and aggregate thematic risks and trends.
  • Governance Processes: Implement and, where needed, establish governance processes to reduce risk from failed internal processes, inadequate identification of risks, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
  • Compliance and Operational Risks: Proactively monitor compliance and operational risks within a complex governance program.
  • Program/Project Management: Provide program/project management support to Governance/Regulatory programs.
Requirements
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technology risk management, information security, or related field, emphasizing risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
  • Risk Management Frameworks: Familiarity with risk management frameworks, industry standards, and financial industry regulatory requirements.
  • Senior Stakeholder Interaction: Experience interacting with Senior Stakeholders and auditors (2nd line, 3rd line, PCI, regulators, etc.) and delivering quality responses.
  • Key Risk Indicators: Proactively monitor Key Risk Indicators to identify non-compliance and assist in remediation with controls to address security, risk, and control gaps.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to work with data from disparate sources to build a cohesive view on risk.
  • Program/Project Management: Experience Program/Project managing Governance and Regulatory projects.
  • Information Security Domains: Proficiency in information security domains, including policies and standards, risk and control assessments, access controls, regulatory compliance, technology resiliency, risk and control governance and metrics, incident management, secure systems development lifecycle, vulnerability management, and data protection.
  • Influencing Risk Remediation: Experienced at influencing technology risk remediation prioritization.
  • Business Risk Communication: Proficiency at communicating business risk status that is relevant to stakeholders and appropriate prioritization for remediation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or similar industry-recognized risk and risk certifications are preferred.
  • Program/Project Management Certification: Experience in Program/Project Management - recognized certification preferred.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in banking and financial services.
