Mechanical Equipment Repair and Maintenance Expert

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at KD Pharma Group. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant's mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, repair, and overhaul a wide variety of industrial mechanical items, including pumps, agitators, mechanical seals, heat exchangers, and valves.
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute preventative maintenance inspections on mechanical equipment, in line with agreed procedures, to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
- Statutory Inspections and Testing: Perform statutory inspections and testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Documentation and Control: Understand, evaluate, and execute tests and procedures properly, and set up documentation and control procedures to ensure accurate records.
- Calibration and Instrumentation: Safely and efficiently execute daily tasks related to calibration and instrumentation activities, including generating Instrument Deviation Reports (IDR) for out of tolerance calibrations.
- Maintenance Procedures: Develop and improve maintenance procedures to ensure efficient and effective maintenance practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Work Experience: Proven work experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role, within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Qualifications: Qualified to a minimum S/NVQ Level 3.
- Additional Skills: Experience of glassware would be advantageous, as would excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, and excellent health and safety knowledge.
