We are currently in search of a Senior Building Surveying Manager to enhance our team and support our ongoing expansion and achievements.
In the role of Senior Building Surveying Manager, you will be instrumental in directing and overseeing our Building Surveying division.
Your responsibilities will include managing a team of building surveyors, offering technical guidance, and ensuring the effective execution of building surveying initiatives.
This position offers the chance to engage in a variety of projects, working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver exceptional solutions.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Provide effective leadership to the Building Surveying team, cultivating a cooperative and encouraging work atmosphere.
- Mentor and develop a team of building surveyors, facilitating their professional advancement.
- Ensure optimal resource allocation, manage workloads, and track project progress.
- Conduct regular performance assessments, offer constructive feedback, and identify training opportunities.
Project Oversight:
- Assume responsibility for building surveying projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality standards.
- Develop project proposals, detailing scope, budget, and timelines.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
- Perform site inspections, surveys, and evaluations, identifying defects or issues and recommending suitable corrective actions.
- Provide expert consultation on building surveying issues, including compliance with building regulations, construction defects, maintenance, and refurbishment.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, standards, and regulations, ensuring compliance across all projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and due diligence evaluations for potential projects.
- Advise clients on property acquisitions, lease renewals, dilapidations, and other building-related concerns.
Client Relationship Development:
- Identify business development opportunities and contribute to the growth of the Building Surveying division.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Possess extensive experience in building surveying, with a proven track record in managing complex projects.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of building regulations, construction methodologies, and relevant legislation.
- Exhibit excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Showcase exceptional project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
