We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Guard on South Western Railway. As a key member of our on-board service, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our customers and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the operational safety of the train, including customer safety and security.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customers have a safe and enjoyable journey.
- Work effectively in a team environment and autonomously to manage disruptions and changes to schedules.
- Be visible throughout journeys and proactively assist customers, ensuring that everyone has a great and safe experience.
- Manage periods of disruption effectively, including changes to schedules and customer journeys.
- Be prepared for change and flexible in times of disruption.
- Be able to multitask and work systematically in a team environment and autonomously.
- Enjoy interacting with customers and colleagues and provide a great customer experience.
- Be able to recognize and act on changing safety and customer requirements.
- Maintain excellent focus and self-motivation for long periods of time.
On average, you will work 37 hours per week over 4.5 days, including a mixture of early and late shifts across 7 days.
