About the Role
The Multi-Skilled Technician (Shift) position will provide strategic engineering service delivery for the provision, development, and management of an extensive portfolio of hard and soft services, supporting the achievement of the Queen Mary Strategic Plan, enabling staff and students to work and learn efficiently and effectively.
As a member of the Estates and Facilities engineering team, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all services are proactive, driven to adopt industry best practices and methodologies, and to ensure the delivery of high-quality, solution-focused, reliable, and resilient estates technical services.
About You
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated professional with a proven record of accomplishment in successfully managing and delivering an effective maintenance service.
The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level in Engineering or a building-related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience, with experience of maintenance management.
About the Department
We are currently short on our existing structure of 1 x shift multi-skilled technicians. These roles are currently being covered by agency, which is not cost-effective, and as such, these roles need to be filled. Without these roles, we will not be able to deliver the critical out-of-hours service that enables Estates and Facilities operations teams to provide an in-house, almost instantaneous response to emergencies across the campuses.
