About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Warehouse Operative. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unpack, check, and put away inbound deliveries, utilizing our booking in system to inform recipients of arrival.
  • Book in items for repair, verifying that all relevant accompanying forms are completed and accurate.
  • Log errors on incoming goods in our relevant system.
  • Conduct weekly fire alarm tests and record outcomes with our Facilities team.
  • Prepare and dispatch items according to internal processes.
  • Ensure all outgoing items have complete and accurate paperwork, including export and dangerous goods documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
  • Participate in necessary training to fulfill all duties.
  • Manage local waste stored in the warehouse in accordance with regulations.
  • Support team absence by working flexible hours, with additional hours reimbursed at standard rate.
  • Oversee pool cars in case of team absence.
  • Undertake other duties and projects to meet personal, team, and organizational objectives.

Reporting Relationships

This role reports to the UK Customer Services Manager.

Team Environment

This role is part of a wider team of around 20 people, with a close-knit team of 2 people.Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary education level or equivalent commercial experience.
  • SAP experience (desirable).
  • Dangerous goods awareness for road, air, and sea transport (desirable).

You will also need to possess:

  • A polite, friendly, and assertive manner.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • IT literacy with telephone skills.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize tasks to benefit internal and external customers.
  • Manual handling skills.
  • Reliability.
  • An eye for accuracy.
