About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our NHS Wales Financial Management Graduate Scheme. As a graduate, you will have the opportunity to work across the breadth of the finance function, gaining valuable and varied experiences in areas such as financial management, business partnering, and financial planning.

The scheme will provide you with the opportunity to develop your financial management and leadership skills while studying for a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA). You will be supported through formal activities, opportunistic events, and guided by your Graduate Lead.

As a graduate, you will be expected to work from home and engage in services both in office and hospital settings. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work across the breadth of the finance function, gaining valuable and varied experiences.
  • Develop financial management and leadership skills while studying for a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA).
  • Work from home and engage in services both in office and hospital settings.
  • Contribute to the success of our organization.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level - minimum UK 2:2 or foreign equivalent.
  • Experience of building effective relationships and collaborative working within a team or group of people.
  • Experience of making change happen successfully and awareness of change management.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and identify key issues from a range of different sources.
  • Planning and organisational skills.
  • Computer literate: Good working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.
  • Welsh Language Skills are desirable levels 1 to 5 in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in Welsh.
