At the CII, we help develop technically competent, ethically focused practitioners and practice that people can depend on.
We are now seeking an exceptional individual to join as our new Executive Director, Strategy, Advocacy, and Professional Standards. Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director will work with colleagues to lead the Institute effectively, ensuring a focus on purpose, performance, and value for money. They will directly oversee the output of thorough research, targeted policy and advocacy, impactful communications, and partnership with the professions to build and maintain public trust, in order to further our mission of building, maintaining, and continually advancing public trust in the insurance and financial planning professions.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in strategic planning, advocacy, or professional standards, with a strong understanding of regulations and compliance standards. Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to drive the Institute's mission and objectives
- Leading advocacy efforts to promote the interests of the insurance and financial planning professions
- Overseeing the development of professional standards and guidelines
- Collaborating with colleagues to ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement
The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills. They will have a strong understanding of the insurance and financial planning industries, as well as experience in developing and implementing strategic plans.
