Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Matchtech. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers, overseeing their performance, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
  • Performance Optimization: Oversee the performance and utilization of the engineering team, optimizing resources and ensuring efficient operations.
  • Parts Management: Manage parts ordering and returns, ensuring that the team has the necessary materials to complete their tasks effectively.
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with the Call Centre to coordinate service requests, prioritize tasks, and address customer concerns.
  • Job Sheet Management: Ensure that engineers complete job sheets in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records of work completed and any issues encountered.
  • Contract Management: Collaborate with Contract Managers to deliver exceptional service to customers, addressing any service issues and implementing improvements as needed.
  • ETA Management: Monitor and track engineer ETA's to ensure timely service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Process Improvement: Implement processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and performance of the engineering team.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably in a technical or engineering environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of parts ordering processes, inventory management, and technical support operations.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the engineering field.
  • Contract Management: Experience working with contract management and customer service is a plus.
