About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal EC&I Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company LLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of electrical and instrumentation design solutions for our clean energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project's electrical and instrumentation engineering discipline, ensuring that designs are of high quality and meet relevant standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement electrical and instrumentation design solutions, including cable diagrams, schematics, and cable schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs are technically accurate, grammatically correct, and professionally presented.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers and designers to improve their skills and enhance the company's capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with key counterparts in client or partner organizations.

Requirements:

  • At least 8+ years' experience in the industry, with at least 3 years at Senior Engineer level.
  • Ideal 5+ years in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated sector.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Chartered Member of the IET.
  • Detailed knowledge of standards, regulations, codes, and directives.
  • Proven knowledge of EC&I design theories, principles, practices, and techniques.
