Role Overview:

As a Commissioning Officer within the Younger Adults Commissioning Team, you will play a pivotal role in the enhancement of Supported Accommodation practices. This position is crucial in assisting younger adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions to achieve greater independence with the necessary support.

The current management processes for Supported Accommodation are under review, and your expertise will be vital in identifying opportunities for improvement and development.

You should possess a solid understanding of social care and the financial and economic challenges associated with it. Proficiency in IT, particularly Excel, will be crucial for developing and maintaining the IT systems that support the Supported Accommodation process.

Your exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities will be key in establishing trust-based relationships with various stakeholders, including Case Management Teams and Care and Housing Providers. This collaboration is essential for implementing effective changes that benefit our residents.

Additionally, you may be involved in supporting other commissioning activities within the team, such as procurement processes and contract oversight.
