About the RoleAs a Business Development Director for our IRT division, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our reach within the Contract Research Organization (CRO) sector. You'll be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth.
Leveraging your deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotech landscape, you'll spearhead initiatives to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across CROs, including clinical operations leaders, procurement professionals, and executive management.
Your Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the IRT division, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Identify and pursue promising new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO sectors.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders across CROs, understanding their needs and tailoring solutions to meet their objectives.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver customized solutions that address client requirements.
- Drive the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closure.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive developments, and regulatory changes to inform strategic business decisions.
- Represent Calyx at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to expand our reach and visibility.
- Proven experience in business development within the life sciences sector, ideally with a focus on pharmaceutical, biotech, or clinical research.
- A demonstrable track record of success selling technology services to CROs, coupled with a strong understanding of clinical trial processes and regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- A willingness to travel as required.
