About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Planner to join our team at Howells Recruitment, working on repairs and maintenance within social housing. As a Planner, you will be responsible for managing calls on system, managing operatives' diaries, general administration, and planning repairs and maintenance requests to the relevant operative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage calls on system to ensure efficient allocation of resources
  • Manage operatives' diaries to optimize scheduling and minimize delays
  • Perform general administration tasks to support the team
  • Plan repairs and maintenance requests to the relevant operative, ensuring timely completion and effective use of resources
  • Ensure trade skill sets and location parameters are working effectively to meet client needs
  • Liaise with operatives, tenants, and clients to resolve issues and provide excellent customer service
  • Document control: ensure worksheets are received and checked to maintain accuracy and compliance
  • Work towards individual and client Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive performance and improvement
  • Deal with council and private housing contracts, planning and scheduling routine, essential, and emergency property maintenance works
  • Track and monitor progress to completion, ensuring timely delivery and effective use of resources
  • Liaise with in-house and 3rd party engineers and tradesmen, as well as council operatives, to plan appointments, materials, and logistics, and reorganize schedules as needed
  • Organize external supply companies to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
  • Ensure all trades are ready and present on-site, and works are completed in-line with committed client completion dates
  • Work in a fast-paced, demanding role, collaborating with key stakeholders, clients, councils, housing agents, suppliers, and trades to deliver excellent results
