Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated Water Quality Technician to join our team. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits. As a Water Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Waste Water Services Treatment and Sewage Pumping Stations Managers, along with the broader management team.

Key Responsibilities
As a Water Quality Technician, your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting pollution investigations and participating in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Assisting the team in responding to compliance issues and proposing effective solutions.
  • Managing incidents and facilitating recovery efforts.
  • Providing technical support to Waste Water Operational Teams to enhance compliance and asset reliability.
  • Developing detailed action plans and contingency strategies.
  • Investigating health and safety incidents and resolving hazards.
  • Optimizing asset performance, including contributions to innovative projects.
  • Responding to technical inquiries and customer communications, providing necessary information.
  • Supporting management in ensuring governance processes are followed.
  • Field support for energy and water efficiency programs.

Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess:
  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent, including Maths, English, and a Science subject; or
  • Relevant qualifications such as ONC / City and Guilds or NVQ in Waste Water Process.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A technical mindset with the ability to analyze data and present actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including MS Office and corporate applications.
  • Experience in fault reporting and notifications.
  • A valid UK Driver's License.
  • The ability to participate in out-of-hours standby duties.
