Key Responsibilities:

The Engineering Project and Planning Manager plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the planning and execution of the Annual Maintenance for all attractions. This position requires the development of a comprehensive strategy to ensure the successful maintenance of all rides, with a focus on meeting deadlines and adhering to budgetary constraints to facilitate a smooth operational start to the season.

This role is essential for guaranteeing timely and efficient delivery of the Annual Maintenance process, alongside fostering continuous enhancements. It encompasses both the strategic planning and practical execution of maintenance activities. Crafting detailed, budget-conscious, and punctual project plans is crucial, as is the effective delegation and communication of these plans to all relevant stakeholders.

  • Establish and maintain a robust communication framework throughout the project delivery phase to ensure consistent updates from Area Managers regarding their progress, plan execution, and identification of any risks or issues that may arise.
  • Offer guidance and support to ensure that maintenance tasks are performed efficiently and in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assess and mitigate risks, delays, and costs effectively.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to guarantee timely delivery and completion of contracted work in line with service level agreements and budget expectations.
  • Oversee spare parts management, ensuring all necessary components are accounted for during planning and procurement processes, while understanding lead times and budget implications.
  • Effectively manage labor and resource allocation, adjusting schedules and priorities as required to achieve project goals.
  • Supervise maintenance operations throughout the year to ensure uninterrupted operational uptime.
  • Conduct regular site evaluations to assess work quality, address emerging challenges, and ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Take ownership of the NOC process on behalf of the annual maintenance program.
  • Implement effective risk management strategies to ensure all tasks are coordinated and resources are allocated appropriately, including contingency planning as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all inquiries related to annual maintenance escalation and planning.
  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Engineering to ensure that resources, equipment, tools, parts, and facilities are proactively identified and sourced to minimize delays and costs.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the success of the program, identifying opportunities for improvement such as waste reduction and enhanced operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in project management.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Prince 2, APM, or Lean is advantageous but not mandatory).
  • Background in engineering.
