About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer (Systems Design Authority) to join our team at Electus Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex defence systems, including communication and sensor systems.

Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects, and you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting and challenging defence projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of defence systems, including communication and sensor systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans and specifications
  • Manage project technical risks and opportunities
  • Guide and govern the hardware, software, and firmware engineering development teams
Requirements
  • Proven track record of delivering complex system design, implementation, test, and integration in the defence domain
  • Experience of full system lifecycle, design, development, testing, integration, and acceptance
  • Strong technical knowledge of military-grade COTS communication and sensor systems
  • Ability to manage, motivate, and develop engineering employees
  • Full driving license and ability to ad-hoc travel within the UK
