About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Teacher to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of our school and driving forward our vision for excellence in education.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Strategy: Collaborate with the Head Teacher to develop and implement the school's vision and strategic plan, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to teaching and learning.
  2. Teaching and Learning: Oversee the development and implementation of curriculum plans, monitor teaching standards, and ensure high academic achievement across all key stages.
  3. Pastoral Care: Lead on student welfare and behaviour management, creating a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  4. Data and Assessment: Analyze student progress data and implement strategies for improvement, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed.
  5. Parental and Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community, enhancing the school's role in the local area.
  6. School Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of school improvement plans, driving forward excellence in all areas of school life.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and significant leadership experience in a secondary school setting.
  2. A proven track record of improving teaching standards and raising student achievement.
  3. A strong understanding of the latest developments in secondary education, curriculum, and assessment.
