Job Title: Clinical Advisor - Training and Development
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Advisor to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and training to our staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to our nursing team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff, including clinical supervision and mentorship.
- Work closely with our Senior Nurse to develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols that meet national, local, and professional criteria.
- Participate in the investigation of clinical incidents, complaints, and serious untoward incidents, using root cause analysis methodology.
- Collate accurate and timely data and information for audit, research, and service performance.
- Take actions to maintain and monitor compliance with agreed planned rosters.
- Maintain and develop good interpersonal relationships with clinical specialists from across nursing and wider multi-disciplinary teams.
- Deliver a high standard of care, ensuring that patients' physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs are met.
- Ensure effective communication with all members of the nursing and MDT, external agencies, patients, and their carers/relatives.
- Provide leadership advice, guidance, and clear communication on agreed priorities in the management and delivery of patient care.
