Company Overview

Right Now Recruitment is collaborating with a prominent International Freight Forwarder seeking to enhance their Imports division. They are in search of a new Air Import Supervisor, equipped with outstanding customs expertise to guide their current team of three at the London Heathrow Office.

Position Overview

The Air Import Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the Air Imports Team, ensuring that daily operational targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met efficiently across all accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Air Imports Team to ensure that all operational benchmarks are achieved promptly and effectively.
  • Manage billing, costing, and the logistics of goods movement, ensuring that all necessary documentation is processed for swift customs clearance and timely deliveries.
  • Assist the team in navigating the complete import process for all shipments, from initiation to completion.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with overseas offices, partners, and agents.
  • Ensure the seamless operation of the department, providing assistance and serving as a point of contact for escalations as necessary.
  • Inspire and engage the air imports team through consistent communication, shared goals, and support for their professional development.

Daily Duties

  • Prepare daily reports to monitor live imports and mitigate unnecessary storage expenses.
  • Access internal systems and reports to track KPIs and promptly address any issues with the import team.
  • Ensure adherence to UK/EU customs regulations.
  • Accurately input customs declaration data from various documents into the customs brokerage system.
  • Meet both internal and external KPIs consistently.
  • Stay informed about all aspects of customs regulations.
  • Communicate with customs and government agencies as required, ensuring timely responses.
  • Keep abreast of all regulatory requirements affecting imports.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with customs authorities and relevant government entities.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Compensation

Salary: £33,500
