Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Endoscopy Technician to join our team. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of endoscopy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decontamination and Reprocessing: Assist in the decontamination and reprocessing of endoscopy equipment in accordance with local and national guidelines.
  • Traceability and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate traceability records of all endoscopes and endoscopic accessories and ancillaries.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Assist with quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support and Training: Participate in testing of rinse water and assist qualified staff in monitoring agreed standards of practice within the unit.
  • Professional Development: Participate in the Trust's Individual Performance Review process and demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development by working towards the objectives agreed within an annual Personal Development Plan.
  • Clinical Supervision: Participate in local Clinical Supervision and attend designated Study Days, and complete relevant training activities and assessments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to be highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
