Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fibro Scan Technician to join our Paediatric Liver Team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality fibro scanning service to children and young people with liver disease.

Main Responsibilities
  1. To safely perform fibro scans liver/spleen on children and young people within the paediatric liver service, in both the inpatient, outpatient, day-case and theatre/endoscopy units/day-case units.
  2. To arrange maintenance of the fibro scan machine and calibration of the probes.
  3. To be responsible for accurate data collection and audit information of the fibro scan service.

Person Specification
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in Numeracy and Literacy or GCSEs Maths and English Grades A-C
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Basic IT qualification or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of basic liver pathology
  • European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
