Service for Adults with Complex and Exceptional Needs

Explore the opportunity to join our dedicated team within the Adults with Complex and Exceptional Needs Service (ACENS), a comprehensive service focused on delivering personalized care to patients requiring intensive support in their homes. We are currently seeking a Band 5 Registered Nurse to enhance our skilled nursing workforce.

Our organization prides itself on fostering a collaborative environment where talented professionals can make a significant difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Position Overview

Role: 37 hours per week

This position primarily involves night shifts, with occasional day shifts required. The role necessitates travel across various locations.

For inquiries, please reach out to the Team Manager.

The ACENS is a distinctive, nurse-led initiative within adult healthcare, dedicated to providing home-based care for individuals with exceptional and complex health requirements, often accompanied by diverse psychosocial challenges. This may include care for patients who rely on medical technology, such as mechanical ventilation. The unique needs of this patient demographic demand specialized knowledge and skills tailored to both the individual and the specific healthcare context.

Staff members operate independently while remaining integrated within a broader support network. This role is profoundly rewarding, enabling patients to maintain their home environment and engage with their community.

We are seeking Registered Nurses who:

  • Preferably possess experience in community, respiratory, or neurological healthcare settings, although comprehensive training will be provided to successful candidates.
  • Are comfortable working autonomously in a patient's residence with indirect support from the larger team.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication abilities.

For internal candidates within NHS Scotland, please note that the shortlisting and interview process will differ, transitioning to our internal transfer protocol.
