Job Title: Enablement Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Enablement Supervisor to join our team at Kent County Council. As an Enablement Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to achieve their goals and maintain their independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of individuals using the Enablement service, providing support and guidance to help them establish SMART goals and identify their needs.
  • Work closely with Occupational Therapy and Case Management colleagues to ensure assessments are holistic and all opportunities are maximised.
  • Provide practice monitoring, supervision, and training to a team of Enablement Support Workers in the community.
  • Monitor the quality of service provided and ensure staff work in a healthy and safe environment.
Requirements:
  • An empathetic and caring approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working with a diverse range of people and challenging situations.
  • Skills to empower individuals to support them to reach their personal goals and maximise their independence.
  • Ability to travel across the required geographical area.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to the fast-changing business needs.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of computer-based systems.
  • Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to their own development.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.

This role is subject to holding a full UK Driving Licence. The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day (during shift hours) is essential. You should note that public transport is rarely a viable option as some rural areas of Kent often have limited public transport.
