Compliance and Risk Specialist

Astute Recruitment is partnering with a well-established company in Uttoxeter to find a Compliance and Risk Officer. This is an exciting and diverse role that requires a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance principles.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Head of Compliance & Risk in ensuring the company's compliance with FCA principles, rules, and legislation.
- Develop and deliver compliance awareness training to stakeholders at all levels.
- Maintain the Compliance Monitoring Plan, ensuring adequate key risk management.
- Produce management information for the Board of Directors and business risk committees.
- Assist in maintaining a strong compliance culture.
- Conduct internal second-line audits and report to stakeholders.
- Coordinate the internal audit schedule.
- Maintain the company's risk register.
- Manage the Incident Management system, including provision of MI to stakeholders.
- Conduct compliance reviews of financial promotions.
- Support the DPA Officer with DPA compliance.
This role requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role and/or industry, preferably in the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have effective communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience working within financial services regulatory and legal frameworks.
