We are seeking an experienced Clinical Non-Executive Director to join our team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Board, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our healthcare services and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leadership in clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety. You will be responsible for monitoring the strategy, performance, risk, people management, and local accountability of the Trust. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standards, and that our patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Trust's strategic plan, ensuring that it aligns with the needs of our patients and the wider community.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on clinical governance, quality improvement, and patient safety, ensuring that our services are delivered in accordance with the highest standards.
  • Work closely with our Senior Independent Director and other members of the Board to ensure that our governance arrangements are robust and effective.
  • Participate in the appointment and succession planning of the Chief Executive and other senior managers, ensuring that our leadership team is equipped to deliver our strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our quality improvement and patient safety strategies, ensuring that our services are delivered in a safe and effective manner.
