About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or Psychological Therapist to join our Urgent and Inpatient Care Psychology Team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality psychological services to patients in our Acute Adult Inpatient wards in Exeter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the leadership and organisation of Adult Urgent and Inpatient Care services, ensuring a high-quality psychological service is provided.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to less experienced staff, trainees, and volunteers.
- Carry a specialist caseload of clients, providing advice and consultancy to patients and professionals.
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines, exercising responsibility for the governance of psychological practice.
Requirements:
- Qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (or equivalent) and eligible for Chartered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Status in the British Psychological Society.
- Registered with the Health Professions Council.
- Experience of working in Adult Mental Health services and with people with severe and complex mental health difficulties.
- Experience of teaching, training, and/or supervision.
- Leadership qualities, resilience, and ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty.
