We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a thriving primary school in Stevenage. Key Responsibilities:- Support students in small groups or one-to-one, as directed by the class teacher or SENCO
- Assist with lesson planning, delivery, and resource development tailored to individual needs
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/carers
- Promote positive behavior and social interaction among students, intervening when necessary to manage challenging behavior
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, preferably in a school setting
- Good knowledge of the national curriculum and teaching strategies for students with SEND
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies
- A positive, empathetic, and patient attitude, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- A willingness to undertake training and professional development
